ManHunt!

manhunt (Demo)

Have you ever wondered where all the “real” men are? Have you ever wondered why so many men are checked out of their families, marriages and lives? Ever wondered why so many men (especially young men) are non-committal at best and flee from anything resembling responsibility or commitment at worst?

As C.S. Lewis once said, “In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”

Men are facing an identity crisis on a national scale, it’s an epidemic really, of boys who have no idea of when they will become (or if they will become) men. Men who have very little conviction of what it actually means to BE a man, much less of what a man is actually supposed to DO. Couple that with a sense of apathy and hopelessness and you can catch a glimpse of what we are headed for: prolonged adolescence, rejection of responsibility, forsaken marriages, failed businesses, churches, relationships and ultimately self destruction (substance abuse, violence, suicide).

Reclaim is on a mission, a rescue mission, to pull men out of the burning buildings that represent their lives and to see them reclaim their hearts and lives by the Truth that sets men free. We do this by proclaiming the Gospel – Jesus death and resurrection for my rebellion and yours – and calling men everywhere to repent, to break agreement with and turn from the lies and half truths they have believed about God and about themselves. To renounce those lies and instead receive the Truth deep into their souls.

Join us this weekend for a Manhunt in NE Ohio as we address the questions that haunt many men, and proclaim the hope and truth that sets us free and allows us to reclaim our hearts and lives as sons of the King!

This is an awesome opportunity for you to check out what Reclaim is all about, to become part of the Reclaim movement, and it’s a great opportunity to invite a man who doesn’t know Jesus yet.

We will meet in a barn, be challenged by the gospel, eat bacon and shoot guns (or bows). What else could you ask for? See the attached flyer for details!
