Thank you for registering for the Ohio Beyond. We hope you’re as ready as we are to get out on the
farm July 23–25. Think campfires, conversations, and probably some dust or mud on your boots.
We’re looking forward to meeting you.
To make sure you’re not the guy who shows up without a sleeping bag or forgets what time dinner
starts, here’s information that will be important to you—so take a minute to read through this now.
The Beyond event kicks off Thursday, July 23 at 12 noon!
It will wrap up Saturday, July 25 at 5 p.m.
THURSDAY
12 noon Check in begins
12-2:30 pm Check in/Tent set up
3 pm Session 1 begins promptly
5:30 pm Dinner
The rest of the agenda will be shared as the weekend unfolds. Noon is the earliest you can arrive to
start setting up your tent. Should you arrive earlier, there will be a place to relax before entering the
campsite area at noon.
Four Key details that will be helpful for you to know:
#1–Opposition
Expect opposition during this time as we lead up to the event! The nature of what we’ll be digging
into this weekend is crucial for you, as a man, to experience the freedom and life God wants us to
have. So, it will be opposed. We’re not trying to scare you, but be on guard. Look for certain things
designed to distract or pull you out:
• fights with spouse
• trouble with kids
• blow ups at work
• fear and or doubt creeping in
• increase stress or anxiety
Men, stay the course. Stay committed to fighting for your heart so that you can see what the Lord
has for you!
#2–Address and orientation / camp

Your GPS should be able to find the farm well.
Please arrive at 12 p.m. to start setting up your tent. Once you pull in the drive, you will first reach
the check in table. Here you will receive further instructions on where to set up your camp.
Because this is a camping event, we have very limited space for travel trailers or motorhomes.
You should have already registered with the camp staff if you were planning on this option.
There will be limited access to electricity for those who need to have a CPAP machine for sleeping.
We cannot provide enough access to electricity for fans and charging of personal devices.
#3 —Food and Cell Phone
Our opening session will start at 3 pm. Dinner is provided Thursday evening so come hungry! We’ll
start eating at about 5:30 pm. And note that all meals thereafter are provided as well.
Throughout our time, cell reception and Wi-Fi will be very limited. Prepare your heart now to unplug
for about 48 hours to really rest and receive from the Lord.
Andy Yund will be the camp emergency contact person, please share his contact information
with anyone who may need to reach you while you’re away from your phone. His contact
information is 440-773-8101.
#4—Things to Bring
You will be camping so bring the following:
• Tent and sleeping gear (In case of rain, and if that concerns you, two barns are available for
you to move your sleeping quarters into if needed.)
• Fishing gear (if that’s your thing)
• Swim trunks for pond swimming (if that’s your thing)
• Pocketknife
• Hiking boots
• Bug spray
• Sunscreen
• Bible, Journal, Pen
• Hat/sunglasses
• Normal warm and evening weather attire
• Flashlight or headlamp
• Personal medicines / toiletries as needed
(No showers available, so prep accordingly)
We will have Porta-Johns for your convenience.
Lastly all of our events are dry events, therefore all alcohol and recreational drugs are prohibited,
however we will have designated spaces for tobacco products.
CAMPING LOGISTICS/PARKING
Please see the attachment to this email for some photos that may prove helpful if you have never
attended a Beyond at The Farm.
There’s a designated parking area near the session hall—please stick to it. Do not drive your vehicle to
the camping areas, especially if it’s been raining. Mud and tires don’t mix—well unless you’re in a
monster truck rally (which you’re not). Let’s keep the campsite clean and easy for everyone to enjoy.

RAIN
If the forecast shows anything more than sunshine, it’s a smart move to stop by Walmart and grab a can
of Camp Dry or any silicone waterproofing spray. We’ll have a few cans available too, in case you can’t
get one. Just make sure to spray your tent early—this stuff needs time to dry, not something you slap
on during a downpour while yelling for help.
If you’re newer to tent life, here are a few survival hacks:
1. Don’t touch the inside walls when it’s wet – it breaks the waterproof barrier and invites water
in like an open bar.
2. Tuck your ground tarp under the tent floor – if it sticks out, rain will run right onto it and
straight under your tent.
3. Use your guy lines – they’re not decorative. A well-staked tent holds its shape and sheds water
like it’s supposed to.
TICKS
They’re out there, doing their creepy-crawly thing. Spray yourself down with tick repellent (legs, socks,
waistband—the works). A little prevention now is better than finding one hitchhiking later.
