…To This End We Want to Be Clear:

Greeting to those of you who follow us at Reclaim and are our allies, supports and friends during this tenuous time:

At Reclaim we exist to fight for the hearts of men and to help guide them toward the full life offered through Jesus. 

Part of our mission is to address the wounds, agreements and vows that bind men so that true freedom and life can be experienced.  We believe that the heart, in Christ and made new, is good, powerful, and the central component from which Christ lives, we love, and have courage.

It says in Luke 6:45, “…out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks”.  And what we are seeing in our world is the overflow of the anger, the rage, the sorrow, and the fears found deep within so many hearts.  It is the fruit of continued oppression, mis-representation, injustice and lack of truth.  

At Reclaim we see this.  We recognize this.  We are addressing these issues in the work we’ve been called to do.  We will not do it perfectly, yet with God’s help and guidance we will learn and grow in the sharing of Truth and love.

To this end we want to be clear:

1. We denounce racism fully and completely because we believe each person is created in the image of God and therefore has immeasurable value
2. We have not and will not tolerate racism within our ministry and will work with love, grace, and truth to address any issues found within our staff, partnerships, and relationships
3. We condemn actions of brutality on all sides
4. We denounce vengeance and actions that promote harm and destruction from a spirit of rage.
5. As people under the authority of the Lord Jesus and the Bible, we believe in and will work to see justice for all of humanity
6. We support those that God has place in authority in regards to law enforcement and governmental officials knowing that they, like us, are imperfect people and that the actions of a few do not define the group as a whole; and when acts of injustice occur from those in power, justice must served
7. We seek to be agents of unity and peace
8. We will serve all men regardless of race, color, creed, national origin or socio-economic background
9. We will continue to be guided by and bound to Christ, His word, and His heart

Many men, especially now, need a shelter from the storm that is raging.  You are welcome at Reclaim.  You will be loved.  You matter.
